    II think its difficult to cut the ribs with 1.2 mm thickness because the tool vibration may crack the material so, What's the rib thickness that you used in this video?

    Dennis is so competent at all this technology and also the violin fitting that I was amazed ,at the end,that he could not play his work of art . Admirable work but also slightly disgraceful if you follow me .I deeply resent a violin glued permanently though . But I glued on the neck on my first violin with Araldite . I just made sure never to drop it .

    Wow !

    I have been thinking about investing polymer into the wood. Put the wood in a vacuum chamber with plastic solution or possibly epoxy resin, pull vacuum on the chamber to pull the air out of the wood, then apply pressure to suck the resin into the wood. Then the wood would be fully impregnated with resin so there would be no voids thus making it very stiff.

    I would add a resistor in series with the LEDs. LEDs and batteries have a small resistance, so the current is probably really high, and the battery won't last long.

    Can someone help me with a term that keeps being said during the video: "spoybort" (for example: timestamp 8:10)? I can't make out what is being said and am curious what the function of this is?

    • @dennisvanhoof9958
      @dennisvanhoof9958 3 місяці тому

      Good question! Apologies for my Dutch accent. I'm trying to pronounce "spoil board," also referred to as "waste board." It is an extra layer of MDF or other flat material that goes on top of the router bed, and can easily be replaced, so that the router bed underneath remains undamaged (for instance, for a complete cut through the material, or when dowel holes need to be drilled).
